#8 INTEGRITY.
“No man can purchase his virtue too dear, for it is the only thing whose value must ever increase with the price it has cost us. Our integrity is never worth so much as when we have parted with our all to keep it.” Ovid 43 B.C.E
Dr. Wayne Dreyer speaks of a shift in thought that brings a person from ambition to meaning. To get past ones ego and live from a position of service requires an uprightness of character and sound moral principles. Your quality of truthfulness and honesty as reflected by your actions defines your integrity. When you do what is right even when no one is watching, you have integrity.
Integrity is so significant for a person, especially a leader. Your word is your bond. Nothing less than complete honesty in all of your dealings is acceptable. When their is doubt in your integrity, leadership is lost.
All of these traits and principles are what make up great leadership. Your integrity is vital to your own happiness and relationships with all people that you influence. Always do what is right.
