Building Your Business is A Matter of How You Think!

This morning the last day of November 2009, I received a message from my youngest son who is teaching High School English in Japan. He is frustrated over the lack of support he gets from his employer and the local board of education. My son is the third teacher in this location to work in an environment that may be futile. What I see is a company that will not address an issue that starts with the negative attitude over their program by the Board of Education in this Japanese community. So we have a problem they can solve easily but rather than look inward, they procrastinate and just replace the teacher after they quit.

My son was raised to never quit what he commits to and he never has. This issue is stressful for him and so he asked for my advice. The message that I sent him is the core lesson of this short article.

Life will always present us with problems; however, there are no big problems, just problems. And, all problems have a solution.  Many times the solution is right there in front of us and all we have to do is remove the fog to find our answer by maintaining a solution oriented attitude. Sometimes the solution is not exactly what you want, but there is a solution to end the problem.

My son has chosen to give his company the opportunity to make remedy or end his contract without feeling he is a failure. The solution was found and the stress relieved.

How you think about business problems determines how you solve the problem or never solve it. The solution is there for you. Remove the stress with realization that you will find an answer when you have a solution oriented attitude. Here is another great example related to business building problems…no leads.

There are many ways to get leads. Today, you have quite a few systems and services that will teach how to get leads or provide leads for payment. I personally spent thousands of dollars on both and was not able to get the number or qualified leads that I wanted and needed. This was so frustrating and yes, stressful. So, being that I give advice on solution oriented attitude, I followed my own advice and worked on solutions.

After a few days and plenty of conversations, I found plenty of answers. Problem solved.

Do not stress and jeopardize your health over any problem in life; especially business problems! If what you are doing is not working and no matter what you try with that system you do not get results….get solution oriented and do something else! Think….search, you will find an answer.

Here is a final tip: get with an expert, a mentor if possible to mastermind for solutions. If you find what you think is an answer on the internet, and it costs money… and you cannot speak to anyone about it…pass. Find your solutions to problems with certainty of the likely result. You do this by connecting with people, not just a website.
